a very nice shot, the compositon and subject matter really feel as if they work., the sky is captured very well, all the drama seems to be there.

the composition is also nice, the centered rock doesn't deter from the image by making it look to balanced because the detail is spread out to compentsate. also the contrast between the rocks in the water and the plain beach really helps give this shot dynamism as well as depth.

however, there is one thing about this shot which nigh ruins the shot, a problem we all know: dynamic range. there is almost no detail in the rocks, they are simply pure black, the same goes for the trees on the left. not sure if you have a tripod, but if you do you could've blended multiple exposures in PS to achieve a much better shot. there is a second slight problem, and that is light fall of. it is most noticable to the left, which is a lot darker than te rest of the immage. this might have been solvable with a simple masked curves/levels/brightness layer.

those two things are what gave the low technique rating, and reduced the impact.

originality is normal, but the vision this shot show is just great.
