An old school room for an 1800's community. For 2 months of the year they needed the fireplace... the rest of the year it was 40 degrees! (100F)

yep! He used to say things like that all the time...doesn't much anymore...not since his stroke.....I miss his quirky sense of humour so its good when it does surface again, even if only briefly!

as a person from the usa, and used to the fahrenheit scale, i was at first a bit surprised by the need for no fireplace at 40 degrees. then i converted to celsius....yep; no need for a fire then! 104 is a bit on the warm side!
