I decide to crop a portrait format photo down to the square as that was where the interest lay. You do not monkey with the sunset shot.. straight levels and sharpening. To recap the story if you did not view Addicted to nature Who'd have thought in the middle of a farming plain I'd be taking waterscapes? Remember the thigh high gumboots in my recent journal. well I pulled them on over my jeans ( torn knee) and stepped off the road and the water rose to within 1 inch of the top of the boots. Well the sun was setting and the pic was there to be taken... so I thought , frack it.... and took another step and the boots filled up. I had to be careful as the ground was not so even and the next step could be into a foot deeper water. In fact as I made my way back to the road I slipped. No way was the Canon going down so I went down on one knee and nice damp groin feeling overwhelming..........
Its still beautiful after the crop, and its kind of nice to hear that you sometimes have to suffer a little bit to come up with your always amazing photos! But watch your steps now and look out for crocodiles, I have never met one, but Im sure I wouldnt want one in my boot!!
The water got darker and darker to black and the sky at the top also ran dark. When I zoomed a bit I could see the nice horizon colours and that sold me on bring the viewer a little closer

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
