Hmmm...this is a tough choice. I like this one, which is tight and full of interest. However, I think the original shot has a charm that this one doesn't have. I guess it is an aesthetic choice.

I guess what I tried to say in the previous comment is that something about the "negative space," the expanding blue sky in the original, provides a very interesting contrast with the interesting patterns and textures of the field and actually made me look at the field more closely that I did in the newer crop (which I actually studied first before seeing the original.)
